It's your 3rd Birthday, Emmett

Emmett today is your actual birthday, but our family celebration is tomorrow.  So Grandma and Grandpa wanted to make your actual day special and took you to Chuck E. Cheese..one of your favorite places!  You also love the part close by, but today was too warm.

A special thing about this LO, normally there isn't anything (other than candy) that's great to re-deem with your tickets.  Today, however, i got a little clever and choose a paper puzzle.. Emmett would totally destroy this in minutes..and i would bet most kids would..it's cheap cardboard.  I looked at that puzzle differently, and chose it for this LO..don't worry, Emmett still got 3 rolls of Sweet tarts. :)  I also saved 3 tickets and we always have left over tokens.. I thought they all worked out great in a LO for embellishments.  One more thing i did, as we walked into Chuck E. Cheese and got our hand stamped..i mentioned it was Emmett's birthday and we got a free sticker with his name on it that he wore while we were there!  Cool, huh?

Emmett's 3rd Birthday Autograph page - Mario Kart

My youngest grandson, Emmett, turns 3 this year and i made his Autograph page/LO.  I have been doing this for all of my grand kids..since they were born.  Not really sure about the twins and when i started, but early for sure.  This is also the 3rd year i've made one for Emmett.

His birthday theme is Mario Kart.  I know that his mom bought decorations online and we are going to construct a cake using the Mario Kart K'nex vehicle and some Super Mario figures.

So i found a clip art on line and cut it out by hand and added some "OLD" scrapbook paper to frame and accent it with. I used my cricut to cut out the Happy Birthday and the #3.  My trick for the number three was to put the "shadow" 3 inside of circle and then cut the basic #3 out of red..so that way i didn't have to cut out the white because that was my background paper for my LO, and it gives me an "extra" #3 for the next page i am making. :)

I am thinking we will have a fun birthday party..

Mickey Mouse Memorabilia LO page

I have started on the Disney World Vacation 12 x 12 Album.  This page hold some of the paper Memorabilia we collected while we were there.  The cut out is from Cricut's cart Mickey and Friends.  I got the idea from Pinterest.  I did sew the first layer down to the pants around the outside to make the sides more secure.  I also sewed down the first layer of the hands at the wrists.

Becoming a Princess, Bippity Boppity Boutique

We visited Disney World for Fall break and while we were there my granddaughter visited the Bippity Boppity Boutique in Cinderella's Castle.  It was quite fun.  Her Aunt Kerri took the pictures in the Boutique.  Her dad took the pictures before and after the appt.  Our appt. was for 5:20pm but Sadie didn't get to see her "Fairy Godmother" in training until after 6pm for her appt.

Emmett Turns 2

We celebrated Emmett's birthday this year with a Thomas the train theme..as you saw in my previous post..where i made his autographed LO page.  Here are 3 more pages i made for his birthday.
The first one is his cake that his Aunt Angel made. Then we have a page where Emmett is sitting unwrapping presents..the last page has more unwrapping and one picture of his sister Sadie and their Uncle Brad watching Emmett unwrap his gifts.  I used the Cricut Christmas cartridge to make the train and the font/numbers from Elmo's Party.  The circles and ovals are Spellbinders dies.

Emmett turns 2 Thomas the train style

My oldest grandson, Ayden was a train lover at this age..and we still have the train tables, and now Emmett our youngest grandson is all about it.  So his mom decided to have a Thomas the train birthday party.  I've made several things for the party and have purchased some decorations..as i don't have anything on my cricut to make that work.

Here is Emmett's Autograph Birthday page:

i used the postage stamp from Sentimentals, and the clouds from Create a Critter. I found a Thomas on line and erased the Thomas name and added Emmett's name.  The postal cancellation, i did the same thing with, but wrote inside the circle.  I need to learn how to do curve writing.   I got the idea to put the dark paper sideways from a sketch in Keepsakes magazine.

We've also made some candy trains, and i substituted things that would be better for a 2 yr old.
We also used stickers from Target and i reduced the Thomas logo for the top of the trains.

Beckett's TV Debut

Last year Beckett was featured in the local magazine called Indy's Child for Autism Awareness month and this year he was on TV for a few minutes demonstrating his use of the IPad as his communication device..watching the show, i heard him ask several times for his fruit bites. :)  Then he responded to pictures and a verbal question using his IPad.

Here is the LO i made for his scrapbook:
I am entering this LO in a challenge on A Cherry On Top using this LO:
