Craft Time with my daughter and friends

I've totally been in love with this Marianne Die LR0242 and wanted to share the love with my daughter and her friend.  Well, turns out her friend brought her daughter too and so we made some cards...i gave a brief tutorial (cut out one set of dies step by step) and then they put their cards together and they colored their images.   Oh and i just noticed i also used my second favorite die from Memory Box..the flourish.

Here is my daughter, Kerri's card:

Fairy Frames for Kerri

These are just like scrapbook pages framed..except no pictures of people..but framed pieces of book illustrations.  I purchased frames at Goodwill that had matted book illustrations (i didn't know they were book illustrations until i took the back off and looked.  The frames were just painted cheap white frames..and from the looks of it the illustrations had faded badly...again i didn't know until i took the back off and saw the back of the illustrations that had been matted were much brighter.  My daughter Kerri has a room with some fairy images and she's always been fond of fairy things since we lived in Wales.  Infact i made a floral "halo" for her wedding to wear that was made like one of the famous fairy paintings.

When i found these i knew i wanted to redo them somehow...and then i showed Kerri my past framed picture of my grandson Emmett (link is here) and she said she liked the idea..so we created these.  I am not happy with the photos because they aren't as bright as they really look, but these are the photos i can take with my phone...and i don't have my camera with me right now.

Sadie's 4th Birthday LO

Sadie's (my granddaughter) birthday was on Tuesday, March 5th.  Her mom dressed her in a cupcake outfit for her special day.  We didn't celebrate her birthday with family until Saturday.  This is the only picture that was taken on her actual birthday.  Her mom journaled on the page.

I am entering this LO in a challenge at "A Cherry On Top" called "Becky Fleck Sketch Challenge #36" and this is the Sketch:

Sadie's Little Mermaid Birthday Party

My granddaughter turned 4 this last week and we celebrated her birthday on Saturday. I made the gum paste decorations for the cake and decorated it.  Her mom made the cake and frosting.   Sadie was so pretty with her Little Mermaid costume on.  She had a really good time.

Here is the LO i made of the pictures her mom shared on FB. Journaling will be added under the Mermaid title.

Look who lost his 1st and 2nd tooth!

Ayden lost his first tooth on Nov. 3, 2012 and we were surprised when he lost his 2nd tooth on Dec. 5th.  His first pulled tooth hasn't come in yet, but his second pulled tooth is coming in now.  He was at Grandma/Grandpa's today because he came down with the influenza that is going around...he is the 3rd of the 4 grandkids that go the "bug".  He was feeling much better today, but was still tired.  I thought i'd have him help me make a LO.  He is writing and reading and i thought this would be good for him.  Plus he's helped me with crafts since he was 2.  I let him pick out the paper and showed him the LO.  After picking out the background paper, he didn't want to cover it up as he wanted to count the all the letters on the page.  Well, we went ahead and covered it up..and he was okay with that.  The hardest thing was for him to "think" about what he wanted to write.  He decided to write about the tooth fairy...and basically wrote that the tooth fairy came the first time and left him money, but the second time the tooth fairy didn't.

Here is my LO with Ayden:
